Dave Rothenberg can be heard hosting DiPietro & Rothenberg weekdays during morning drive 6-10a on ESPN-NY.
Dave joined ESPN-NY Radio in September 2010, hosting weekends and overnights. From there, he landed nights, originally hosting 7-10p and later extending to a long 7p-midnight time slot and a 9a-noon weekend show. Dave moved to middays in 2014, teaming up with Ryan Ruocco. As part of that role, he was also the update anchor and a co-host on The Michael Kay Show. Dave joined Rick DiPietro and Chris Canty middays in September 2017. The show, originally airing 10a-1p, ultimately moved to AM drive 5-8a. Upon Chris Canty’s departure in August 2021, the show was renamed DiPietro & Rothenberg. Ratings for DiPietro & Rothenberg have been solid, culminating with a third place finish in Fall 2021.
Dave has filled in on the biggest shows across the ESPN platform, including: Mike & Mike, The Stephen A. Smith Show, The Michael Kay Show, and more. He also hosted Knicks and Rangers pre- and post-game shows on both ESPN-NY 98.7 FM and the MSG Radio Network.
Before joining ESPN-NY, Dave co-hosted The Fanatics during morning drive on 99.9 FM The Fan in Raleigh, NC, the #1 sports talk show in the Triangle. While in Raleigh 2007-2010, Dave was the primary reporter on the Carolina Hurricanes' post-game show, a beat reporter for Duke Basketball, and the color analyst for Campbell University football. You may have also heard Dave earlier in his career on WALE-AM 990 in Providence, RI or filling in on Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio. Dave got his start in sports radio at WGCH AM 1490 in Greenwich, CT, where he ran the board and hosted the halftime show during high school football broadcasts..
Born and raised on Long Island, Dave has been a passionate NY sports fan since before he could walk.. A die-hard NY Giants fan, Dave resides with his wife, two sons, and two Labrador Retrievers in Westchester.
